New folk festival coming to Kenilworth

A new folk festival has been announced for Kenilworth and will head to the town for the first time in 2027.

Organisers have announced Kenilworth Folk Festival will take place on the weekend of June 4 to 7 next year.

Several acts have already been confirmed, including Banter!, Tarren, David Eagle DJ and Juniper.

However, while the major new musical event has been confirmed, organisers are keeping most of the details close to their chest.

The venue for Kenilworth Folk Festival is yet to be confirmed.

The team behind the event told Nub News plans are "progressing well" and that it hopes to "help folk culture thrive" in Kenilworth and the surrounding area by "creating and supporting opportunities for people to participate, learn, perform, connect and belong through folk music, song, dance and related traditional arts".

Patrons have been confirmed as Simon Care and Benji Kirkpatrick.
