A new coffee shop is set to open in Kenilworth this weekend.

After weeks of work on site, BrewQuest Coffee will open on Warwick Road on Saturday 18 October.

The new addition to the town centre is the vision of two self-acclaimed "coffee geeks" - husband and wife Marcin and Magda.

Ahead of the opening the duo took to social media to say: "After months of painting, planning and plenty of late nights, we can finally say it out loud: BrewQuest Coffee opens this Saturday, 18 October at 9am – save the date.

"We’re almost ready to welcome you — with freshly brewed coffee, homemade and hand-crafted desserts and a big smile.

"It’s been a long journey, but every bit of it was worth it.

"Thank you for cheering us on — now it’s time to open the doors!"

BrewQuest Coffee is set to open in the former Shine Medical Cosmetic Clinic unit.

During the renovations, Marcin and Magda have revealed the former 'Family Butcher' tiles on the front of the unit.

Speaking to Nub News in September, Marcin said opening the cafe is the realisation of a long-held dream.

"It has been a dream for maybe ten years really," he said.

"Whenever we would go abroad, to different countries, we would always try the different coffee and independent coffee shops.

"This is a journey for us, it's a 'BrewQuest', exploring flavours and sharing experiences.

"It's like our coffee journey really."

Marcin has previously worked as a chef and Magda a manager in hospitality, so running a coffee shop will not be new for the couple.

And as well as a "couple of surprises" to go alongside their homemade treats and speciality coffee, the duo are asking Kenilworth locals to come and see what makes them different when they open.

Marcin added: "I want everyone to try us, come around, just say hello and give us a chance. "There will be another nice place to have a tea or coffee in Kenilworth.

"We will be focusing on great quality coffee, tea and cakes.

"And maybe we've got a couple of surprises which I haven't seen any of elsewhere in Kenilworth.

"So, I'll just leave it as a small teaser for everyone!"

Someone needs to tell these up n coming business owners to stop setting up shop in locations like Kenilworth, if all you have to offer is more of the same. Kenilworth Is over saturated with Charity shops and Coffee shops. A town does not need to be large in scale, to offer a unique shopping experience to it's residents and visitors. It just has to have business owners with original vision and ambition. The opening of this new coffee shop just further demonstrates that these business owners come to towns like Kenilworth, with deep pockets, zero creative vision and next to none business acumen.

As an OAP and Kenilworth resident, I'm sick of those people decrying the opening of another coffee shop. Don't blame the Council. Blame the landlords of our town centre properties. Have you seen the size of the footprint of BrewQuest? What 'shop', other than a coffee shop is going to fit?If, and it's a big if, a major retailer wanted to set up in Kenilworth, where? Biggest recent vacancy is now Wetherspoons and it took them £3mn to refit. A coffee shop it may be, but it employs people and gets people into town. Accept that Kenilworth unfortunately is not a shopping experience town.

As if we need another coffee shop. Where is the diversity in Kenilworth town center. All we have is coffee shops, hairdressers, charity shops. Why do we need another one whoever is agreeing to let people open shops need to stop saying yes to coffee shops it's a joke. Not really attracting people to come to Kenilworth to shop as there is nothing for to shop for but there plenty of coffee shops and to get your hair done though. Please no more coffee shops
