Months of disruption has been announced for Crackley Lane for HS2 works.

The high speed rail developer is set to install a new bridge to carry the road over the new rail line.

For this, the road will be shut from Monday 22 September to Saturday 11 October.

It will then be closed again from Monday 10 November to Saturday 6 December.

Further closures will be required in Spring 2026 to complete the next stage of works

HS2 said: "As we prepare for the permanent realignment of Crackley Lane in Spring 2026, we need to complete final utility connections and carriageway tie in works.

"To do these works safely several phased road closures are required in 2025 and 2026.

"We will need to close a section of Crackley Lane between Blind Lane, Cryfield Grange Road and South Hurst Farm.

"Once these works are completed in 2026 the new road will be open to the public."

The closures will be in place 24 hours a day while the works are carried out.

Access to properties will be maintained throughout the closure but there will be no access for pedestrians and cyclists.
