Month-long road closure to begin next week as plans for 56m HS2 bridge approved

The postponed month-long closure of a Stoneleigh Road is due to begin next week.
Ashow Road was due to shut in August as works for the new HS2 bridge progress.
Works were pushed back at the last minute and are now due to begin on Monday 8 September.
The full closure will last until Sunday 5 October and there will also be two-way traffic lights at the junction of Crewe Lane.
HS2 said: "You may notice increased levels of construction activity and some travel disruption.
"There will be a fully signed diversion in place to help drivers navigate their way.
"Once these works are completed the new road will be open to the public."

Warwick District Council last month gave the green light to the latest designs for the bridge which will carry the B4115 over the HS2 line.
At 56 metres long, previous designs for the Ashow Road structure were approved in 2021 and 2024, but updated designs have now been signed off.
