This is the moment a glamorous conwoman was arrested by police before officers uncovered her hoard of stolen goods - including several war medals.

Ariana Rose, 40, was jailed for five years last month after she used a string of fraudulent schemes to scam wealthy victims in Warwickshire to fund a lavish lifestyle.

A court heard she posed as a house-sitter and a landlady to fleece people out of thousands of pounds of cash while also stealing valuable goods.

She had been employed as a house sitter at properties in Shipston-on-Stour and Southam.

She splashed the money on holidays abroad, lobster and champagne at Claridge's, designer clothes and a Rolex watch as well as driving around in rented BMWs before her scam was rumbled.

Newly-released body cam footage by police shows the moment Rose was detained by officers in a car park and looking visibly shaken as she replies 'OK, OK' as she's told she is under arrest.

Further video shows officers finding pinched war medals from WWI and a CBE while searching her property as well as stolen Christmas ornaments.

One officer says "Oh my God, you're joking" as some of the stolen items are retrieved, which also included limited-edition books and jewellery.

Rose, of Finborough Road in London, was found guilty of five counts of theft from dwelling in December last year. She was jailed on July 2 after pleading guilty to five charges of theft, four fraud offences, four of forgery and one of perverting the course of justice.

Southwark Crown Court heard her fraud amounted to around £67,000,

Rose even prepared a meal and a cake for one of her victims when they returned from holiday - but they later discovered a number of items missing and some had been replaced with fakes.

Items taken from both properties included jewellery exceeding the value of £35,000, a Le Creuset Balti pan, a silver dish, gold-plated Christmas ornaments, and other jewellery items.

When Rose was arrested, officers discovered photos of stolen items from each of the houses she had looked after on her phone.

Detective Constable Adam Stather, of Warwickshire Police, said after the case: "Rose lived a lavish lifestyle, funded by the things she stole from her victims who trusted her to look after their homes.

"These items were mostly highly sentimental and cherished.

"We hope that the victims find some comfort now that she has been caught and held accountable for her actions."
