The "missing link" which connects the Kenilworth Greenway to another local cycleway is now " largely completed, a councillor has confirmed.

The link will allow cyclists and pedestrians to join the greenway on Coventry Road, connecting with the cycle route towards Coventry.

Warwickshire County Council has been working on opening the path for some time, with £100,000 allocated to the project in 2022.

It has also been on Kenilworth Town Council's cycling strategy since that was drawn up in 2019.

Speaking at the most recent town council meeting, Cllr Andrew Milton said: "That [the link] is now largely completed.

"That is good progress.

"While these things do take time, they do eventually happen. Knowing there is an active group on the town council makes it easier to get things on the agenda [at WCC]."

A completion date for the project is yet to be confirmed.
