A man has died following a serious collision in Stoneleigh on Friday (December 6) evening.

On Friday 6 December at just before 8:30pm, police were called to reports of a man in his 40s who was reportedly struck by a grey VW Polo and sustained serious injuries.

The man was reportedly walking on Coventry Road near the junction with Stareton Lane, south of Stoneleigh, when the incident occurred.

The man was taken to hospital by ambulance but later died on Sunday 8 December.

His family are being supported by specially trained officers.

Police say they have spoken to the driver of the car and are "looking to determine what happened in the lead-up to the collision, not to identify the driver".

"If you saw something in the lead up to this incident or were a witness to the collision, particularly if you have dashcam or CCTV footage, contact us citing Incident 363 of 6 December online at www.warwickshire.police.uk/report, by phone on 101, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111," Warwickshire Police said.
