The family of a man believed to have been murdered in Kenilworth have shared a "heartfelt message of thanks" to the local community following his death.
Three people have been charged with the murder of Carl Stephens following an incident on Chesnut Avenue on Friday 20 March.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before midnight but the 45-year-old was found dead at the scene.
Lewis Dowling, 24, of Yarnfield Road, Birmingham, Patricia Dowling, 49, of Chestnut Avenue, Kenilworth and a 16-year-old boy from Kenilworth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were charged with murder.
Paying tribute in a statement today (April 1), Mr Stephens' family said: "We are deeply saddened to be writing that Carl's life has been taken in the most tragic way.
"Our family is completely devastated by this and will be forever heartbroken.
"We would like to take a moment to sincerely thank our community for the love, compassion and support that has been shown to us, and for sharing in our grief - it means more than words can express.
"During this incredibly difficult time, we kindly ask for privacy while we come to terms with what has happened."
The three charged will appear in court again next month.
