Kenilworth's new banking hub will open this Friday (October 24).

The hub opened at its temporary location at Kenilworth Library in March, offering access to all the major banks through the week.

Having secured planning permission earlier this year, the hub will open at its permanent spot in Talisman Square this week, with Mayor of Kenilworth Cllr James Kennedy due to cut the ribbon.

Run by Cash Access UK, the facility will take over from the former Kare Plus office.

Cash Access said: "The banking hub is a shared banking space. It provides a counter service operated by the Post Office, where customers of all major banks and building societies can carry out regular cash transactions, Monday to Friday.

"It also offers a community banker service where customers can talk to their own bank about more complicated issues."

Signs were installed earlier this month at the new hub.

The facility was launched after Lloyds announced it was closing its branch in the town, with the bank shutting its doors in April.
