The pavements along Warwick Road will receive necessary maintenance in early 2022 according to Warwickshire County Council.
The announcement comes on the back of the council's decision to scrap traffic calming measures along Kenilworth's main thoroughfare.
"Footway repairs and minor improvements" will begin in early 2020 with dropped curves and new paving installed.
Whilst over 100 people objected to speed bumps along Warwick Road, there were calls for greater safety measures for pedestrians following the council's consultation.
This also extends to a permanent 20mph speed limit which is still being reviewed by the council.
Portfolio holder for planning and transport Cllr Wallace Redford said: "We are committed to working with local residents to make sure that any changes to their local environment are practical, effective and benefit residents and businesses. We consulted extensively with the local community and based on their feedback have decided to withdraw some of these proposal around the traffic calming measures.
"We will look to undertake footway repairs and minor improvements in Warwick Road in early 2022 to assist pedestrian safety. This will include the renewal of paving and provision of drop kerbs and tactile paving at appropriate crossing points. The proposals to reduce the speed limit to 20mph is still being considered."
