First Class Watches is "thrilled to announce" a unique collaboration with renowned Swiss watchmaker FORTIS.

This partnership offers one fortunate customer the chance to purchase an extraordinary timepiece – one of only 13 watches that have undergone rigorous testing in space aboard the S1X-3 M15 rocket.

The watch, steeped in the rich space heritage of FORTIS, represents the "pinnacle of horological innovation and cosmic exploration".

From 29 July to 31 August 2024, watch enthusiasts and space aficionados can register their interest in purchasing this exclusive space-tested watch, priced at £8,450.

To participate, prospective buyers are invited to share their personal connection to space and/or horology, adding a personal touch to the selection process.

The final purchaser will be chosen directly by FORTIS, ensuring that this exceptional timepiece finds a deserving home.

"FORTIS has a storied history of producing watches that are not only exquisite in design but also remarkable in functionality, especially in the challenging environment of space,," First Class Watches said.

"The S1X-3 M15 rocket mission in 2022 marked another milestone in FORTIS's illustrious journey.

"The selected watch is a testament to this legacy, having endured and excelled under the most demanding conditions of space travel."

To celebrate the event, the space-tested watch will be on display at First Class Watches' Kenilworth store - James Moore & Co - throughout August.

The display aims to bring the "marvels of space exploration and horology" to the heart of Kenilworth, "inspiring awe and admiration" among all visitors.

"FORTIS will carefully review all registrations and personal stories before making their final decision.

"The chosen customer will have the honour of collecting the watch in person from the First Class Watches store in Kenilworth towards the end of September 2024, adding a personal and memorable touch to this exceptional acquisition."
