A Kenilworth teenager is set to represent Great Britain at a major international ice hockey tournament this November.

Louis Insall has been named in the squad heading to Chicago this November for the largest youth hockey tournament in the world, CCM World Invite!

Louis is born and raised in Kenilworth and currently plays for Nottingham Lions.

He has recently been awarded £250 by Kenilworth Lions for this achievement.

Dad, Stuart, told Nub News: "What an amazing achievement — all of his hard work, dedication and love for the game continue to shine through.

"I couldn't be prouder of Louis.

"I hope he enjoy every second of it — one last bit of fun before the mocks begin!

"And we are incredibly grateful to the Kenilworth Lions for their support and all they do in the community."

Elite British Selects said: "CCM World Invite Chicago hosts over 500 teams and 10,000 athletes for 1,250 games of top-tier competition and our 2010s are ready to be part of it!

"After months of EBS development camps and preparation, these talented young players are set to represent Great Britain with pride!

"Our team will face elite competition under the guidance of GB u18 men's Head Coach Jamie Elson, supported by Rob Lamey, Koni Yates and Rob Henderson, with Team Manager Edward Hanna leading off the ice!"
