Kenilworth Town Council has provided a grant to a local preschool to help it move across town.

Councillors backed a grant request from Spring Playgroup and Preschool which has helped support the local community for over 30 years.

The group is working to move to the new Scout and Guide Centre at Castle Farm, and will be in place from September 2024.

The group does not charge a set fee for children to attend, and asks parents to give what they can afford.

Spring Playgroup needed to purchase a number of items to assist with it new setup.

"It's an exciting move for the group who have now received their official certificate from OFSTED," a statement from Kenilworth Town Council said.

"The pre-school is now full for September but there are spaces still available for three and two year olds.

"Places are free, with no hidden costs, though the group do ask for a donation if parents are able to offer one.

"There is ample parking and air conditioning at the new premises, and it is all on one level, making them accessible to all!"
