Tree Felling

A Kenilworth developer has asked for permission to cut down a number of dead trees at a new housing estate.

Persimmon Homes has asked for permission for the works at Kenilworth Gate on Leamington Road.

Plans submitted to Warwick District Council include a report completed by Wharton Natural Infrastructure Consultants Ltd.

Padel Plans

Plans to build three new padel courts at a local hotel look set to be approved.

Planning officers at Warwick District Council (WDC) have recommended planning permission be granted for the new facilities at The Warwickshire Golf and Country Club in Leek Wootton.

If approved, the courts would be built on a patch of grass next to the hotel with new lights and a fabric canopy.

Decades of Development

A residents' group opposing plans for thousands of new houses in Hatton has said the village will be a construction site for over two decades if the plans are approved.

Hatton is one of 12 potential 'new settlement' locations being considered for the new South Warwickshire Local Plan (SWLP) - a major planning document which will outline the development of the region for the next 25 years.

Land promoters are pushing for some 666.66 acres of land in Hatton to be allocated for housing in the plan, which could see up to 8,000 homes earmarked there.
