Locals have until tomorrow (February 8) to have their say on plans for a major new housing estate in Kenilworth.

Land promoter Richborough has revealed plans for up to 180 new homes off Rouncil Lane, behind the former sixth form site.

The company's website said: "Richborough are preparing proposals for a high-quality housing development on land East of Rouncil Lane, Kenilworth.

"The scheme will deliver up to 180 new homes, alongside green spaces, sustainable transport connections, biodiversity enhancements and potential for additional allotments."

A planning application is expected to be submitted to Warwick District Council in the spring. Locals will have another chance to comment then.

Local councillors have questioned whether local services including the NHS and schools can cope with another housing estate in the town.

Traffic concerns have also been raised.

Locals can have their say be emailing [email protected] or by visiting www.rouncillanekenilworth.uk.
