Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.

Drive Thru Detail

Plans for two new drive thru eateries at Leamington Shopping Park have taken a step forward, with planners signing off on more details for the site.

The former Frankie & Benny's restaurant at the Tachbrook Park Drive centre has already been demolished, with contractors working fast to create the two new fast food outlets.

And now Warwick District Council has signed off on the designs for a new set of EV chargers to be installed.

Pub's Makeover

Pub giant Greene King has been given the green light for a series of cosmetic works at a Kenilworth town centre pub.

The Lion - which has received an internal makeover since new tenants took over earlier this year - has been given permission for new signs, lights and boards.

The Warwick Road inn had asked to have a modern-style illuminated projecting sign, but this was deemed to have been "excessive and would have a harmful impact" by council planners.

Plot for Sale

A piece of land in the centre of Balsall Common with planning permission to be turned into four homes has been put on the market.

Xact Homes is marketing the plot of land on Station Road for £999,900.

The 627 square metre plot is sandwiched between two rows of houses.
