Kenilworth planning roundup: HS2 cutting, cancer centre and cycle path

Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.
HS2 Cutting Plans
Plans for a 250-metre-long embankment for the HS2 line around Balsall Common have been put forward.
The high speed rail developer has revealed plans for the Lavender Hall Embankment which will carry the new line between Lavender Hall Lane and 150m north-west of Station Road.
"Lavender Hall Embankment will be approximately 250m long and have a maximum width of 55m at the toe of the embankment," the plans state.
Cancer Treatment Centre
A planning application for a new cancer treatment centre between Leamington Spa and Kenilworth has been put forward to Warwick District Council.
Nuffield Health & Icon Group has applied for planning permission for what it says will be a "start of the art" facility at Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital, on Old Milverton Lane.
Plans show the two-storey building would be built across 55 existing car parking spaces.
Cycle Path Plans
Plans for a new shared cycleway and footpath along a busy Kenilworth road have been revealed by Warwickshire County Council (WCC).
Locals have until June 9 to have their say on the plans for Glasshouse Lane.
A notice on the council's website shows the new cycleway would connect to the shared cycle / footpath at Kenilworth School, and travel to Oakley Road - the entrance to the new housing estate.
