A Kenilworth interior design business is set to benefit from £10,000 of free mentoring and workspace through a scheme backed by the University of Warwick.
Boxx Design Studio is one of five companies that have been accepted onto the latest Creative Futures Incubator.
As well as bespoke one-to-one coaching, networking opportunities and guest lectures, the business will also be given a year's free access to 1 Mill Street - the co-working space in Leamington Spa.
Having been accepted onto the incubator on September 20, founder of Boxx Design Nicky Bagga said: "It's great to get the validation that people can see what we are trying to do and that It's not just lots of hard work without the possibility of it going somewhere".
"Being accepted onto a programme like this, with people that come from a business background, gives the business recognition that we are on the right path and that it has potential, which is always nice to hear."
Nicky, who has worked in commercial and hospitality interior design for 15 years, launched Boxx Design Studio in September 2020 before being joined in business by Michael Craig earlier this year as the business continued to grow. And with the support offered by the incubator tailored to the individual needs of each company, Nicky said they would be able to get exactly what they needed out of it.
"It's very tailored coaching so we can take from it what we need." she said.
"A lot of our focus is based around the business vision going forward with both of us involved, as well as defining a strategy for how we achieve that."
She added: "The support is brilliant as the type of work we do is very creatively driven, and there are lots of other young start up creative businesses at Mill Street so it is fantastic."
"It's really nice that there are so many like-minded people with fresh ideas and it is already giving us the chance to network and help other people cross-sector as well."
And with Boxx Design now two years old, Nicky said it has continued to go from strength to strength.
"We have got a really varied client list and have some really interested work on," she said.
"We are working nationwide established brands but are really excited to delve into other sectors and also fill the gaps locally with more independents."
