The owners of a Kenilworth hotel and cocktail bar have put its sister site up for sale.

The Kenilworth Hotel's second property - The Edgbaston - closed in February 2022 and has now been put on the market with agents Fleurets Limited.

The 20-bed Edgbaston hotel and cocktail bar, was opened in 2014 by brothers Stuart and Darren Insall, following the success of their Warwickshire venue.

Now the Highfield Road site is up for sale, with the price available on application.

The hotel, which dates back to the beginning of the 19th century, has a bar, restaurant and function room as well as 30 car parking spaces.

The advert on Rightmove says: "The property is typical of the Georgian era and very similar in character to most of the other properties within Highfield Road.

"It is arranged over basement, ground, first and attic floors having rendered, and colourwashed facades set beneath pitched and hipped slate clad roofs with Georgian-style fenestration.

"No. 18 was converted into a hotel, bar and restaurant and commenced trading in May 2014 with No. 16 completed in 2019.

"Approximately £1million was spent upon the conversion of the property to create the facility that exists today."

The news comes just weeks after plans to convert part of The Kenilworth back into a house were revealed.

If approved the scheme would see the Harger Court five-bedroom guest house turned back into a residential dwelling.
