Kenilworth hobby shop to celebrate first anniversary

A hobby shop which opened in Kenilworth last year is set to celebrate its first anniversary this weekend.
Viking & Swiss opened on Warwick Road on October 13 2025, providing a "safe space" in the town for "local geeks and nerds" to enjoy themselves and feel comfortable.
The town centre business is set to celebrate its first anniversary on Friday (October 16) with a ticketed event at The Gauntlet Pub on Caesar Road.
"After nearly one year of operation, we would like to thank everyone who made it possible," the team said earlier this year.
"From the painters, builders and logo designers, To the mtg commanders, FaB specialists, DnD adventurers, Bloodbowl hooligans, Warhammer soldiers and many many more.
"We wholeheartedly want to thank each and everyone who has contributed to us making it to our first birthday.
"And as a thank you, we wish to invite you to an exclusive Birthday Party hosted at The Gauntlet pub in Kenilworth."
The event - which costs £25 per person - will run from 5pm to 10.30pm.
Owned by friends Galli Donaldson and Nick Hall, Viking & Swiss opened after weeks of work renovating the former 'Funk it Up' unit.
'Viking' comes from Galli's hairstyle and 'Swiss' reflects the fact Nick spent much of his childhood in Switzerland.
