Customers are now spoiled for choice at East Chase Distillers (ECD) and can now choose from four different flavours at Kenilworth's newest specialist drinks company.

ECD was first opened last November by friends Richie Bartle and Luke Weetman, with Heritage Gin as the producer's first spirit.

But as the East Chase Farm-based business nears its first anniversary, it has now added three new flavours to its range.

Citrus Orange, Rhubarb & Apple, and Summer Fruits are all now available both online and at the distillery's bar.

Each at 40% ABV, the three new flavours are all distilled using a world leading Holstein still, which allows for a slower, more controlled distillation process.

"We are really excited for people to try our latest flavours," said Richie.

"The Citrus Orange was our second release and has already proved really popular.

"We are really proud of what we have created and that we don't use any artificial flavours or additives. In fact, the rhubarb we used is even grown here at East Chase Farm.

"We pride ourselves in sourcing the best ingredients from around the world, and despite the distinct lack of data and evidence, when Luke's mum told us the rhubarb grown on East Chase is the best in the world, we took that as scientific fact!

"Come and try some for yourself."

The distillery - which has a bar now open on Friday nights - has been a long time in the making.

Around six years ago, during a discussion in a local bar, Richie and Luke decided to go into business together, spotting a gap in the market and discovering their mutual love for gin.

East Chase Farm, where Luke's family have been for five generations, seemed the perfect venue.

The distillery itself is an old barn which they have completely remodelled into a bespoke distillery, with a mezzanine gallery, marble floors and oak beams all setting the scene for the world–leading Holstein still where they make their spirits.

"We have had a lot of interest, and sold a lot already through our online shop," Luke added.

"There's so much going on at the farm right now, so we are really busy, but that's what we want.

"We are open on Friday nights for people to come to the distillery for drinks, and this has been really popular so far.

"We want to encourage more local people to come and find out about us and try our gin!"

As well as opening on Friday nights, ECD has also hosted a number of Gin, Tonic & Tales nights where Richie has opened up about his time in the special forces.

The next instalment of these will be held on September 2.
