Here is a roundup of the biggest decisions that have been made by the local councils in the last month.

And for more local planning decisions, keep an eye out for our weekly updates published every weekend.

Kenilworth Town Council

The new Mayor of Kenilworth has said it is a "massive, massive honour" to be named the town's first citizen.

The council also hosted a 'living history' event in Abbey Fields this May.

Warwick District Council

The gap between Coventry and Kenilworth looks likely to get smaller as the draft of the South Warwickshire Local Plan (SWLP) is revealed.

Meanwhile, residents campaigning to try and stop thousands of houses being built in Hatton say the local councils have ignored the "overwhelming weight of evidence" as they press forward with the plans.

Kenilworth's new swimming pools are just weeks away from opening - the council has confirmed its opening date.

Councillors have welcomed the end of three years of wrangling over plans for a shared cycle and foot path through Kenilworth's Abbey Fields.

Warwick District Council has announced the election of a new Chairman and Vice-Chairman.

Residents are being asked to share their views on the district council's 'sexual entertainment establishment' policy in a public consultation.

Warwickshire County Council

Warwickshire County Council has released its latest update on the over-budget and much-delayed A46 Stoneleigh Junction redevelopment.

"Dark" and "regressive" plans to withdraw funding from an equalities service will go forward despite warnings that it could cost more than it saves.

A reported "public order offence with a hate element" is being investigated by police following last week's protest outside Shire Hall.

Kenilworth families and a local primary school have been "let down" over continued delays to a major expansion project, accoridng to a local councillor.

The new leader of the opposition at Warwickshire County Council has vowed not to quell her forceful nature despite a year of febrile meetings.

Reform's reshaped cabinet has been announced with one under-fire councillor stepping back to a support role and one dropped altogether.
