A Kenilworth restaurant has applied to keep its outdoor tables and chairs once again.

Ego Mediterranean has made its annual request to Warwick District Council (WDC) to maintain its outdoor seating area at its premises at The Square.

WDC last year signed off on permission for the chain to keep its four tables and eight chairs until the end of September 2023.

The restaurant has once again asking to keep hold of the seating, asking for them to be outside from 12noon to 11pm seven days per week.

The application shows the chairs will still leave two metres of pavement for pedestrians, with the tables set to sit in line with the restaurant's bay windows.

Ego has recently given a slight glow up to the front of the restaurant, installing new signs.

And the restaurant has also started running discounts for cinema-goers at the Talisman Theatre.

New laws on pavement licences were brought into effect in the summer of 2020 to make it easier for businesses to apply for permission to put furniture outside during the pandemic.

Full details of the licence can be found here.
