A Kenilworth beauty therapist has turned her own health struggles into a new line of business.

Jules Garner has expanded her services at Aesthetic Beauty and Health on Station Road, offering colonic hydrotherapy to customers who are struggling with various digestive conditions.

Aesthetic practitioner Jules - who has worked in the beauty industry for over 25 years - began her journey with the treatment after suffering for years with digestive problems.

Having been on courses of hormone replacement therapy to relieve the symptoms of menopause, she then began suffering more severe side effects including hair loss, skin conditions and becoming hyper-sensitive to certain foods.

"I effectively have had to rebuild my health and detox completely," she told Nub News.

"When I hit the menopause I started trialling hormone replacement therapy but found I had really severe side effects.

"My body started attacking itself and that is how I got into hydrotherapy, as I had to start my own journey to heal myself.

"My journey started by formulating my own skincare brand and then using yoni steaming as a natural treatment for menopause, as well as colonic hydrotherapy to improve my gut health to detox.

"My journey is still ongoing, and I realise that your body can really heal itself if we discard all toxins from our food, which is very difficult in a processed society - but I'm here to pass on my knowledge."

As well as offering colonic hydrotherapy, the business also offers a range of health and beauty treatments (Image supplied)

Jules used to run her own clinic in Balsall Common before deciding to move on and then work from Angels Boutique in Kenilworth.

But as her business continued to grow again she decided to open a new clinic with daughter Lily on Station Road, and now also has a second branch in Sutton Coldfield.

"I am working with my daughter now, which I love and we are really busy," she added.

"The plan was not to open my own clinic again, but here we are!

"Things are going really well for us, and I'm looking forward to helping more people with our new colonic hydrotherapy treatments."

As well as offering colonic hydrotherapy, the business also offers a range of health and beauty treatments.
