The four-week closure of Cromwell Lane is set to start next week.

HS2 confirmed the Burton Green road will once again be shut from October 30 until November 25.

The high speed rail developer will shut the road 24 hours per day for "final realignment works".

There will then be a second closure from December 4 until December 16.

"As part of our final realignment works on Cromwell Lane, we are required to carry out further programme of utility works on Cromwell Lane," an HS2 statement said.

"To safely carry out the work we will need to close Cromwell Lane to create a safe working environment."

HS2 has recently been given the full sign off for its cut and cover tunnel in Burton Green.

The high-speed rail developer said the tunnel will be masked by extensive tree planting to "integrate seamlessly with the existing landscape".
