Cromwell Lane will shut again this weekend for "emergency" works, HS2 has confirmed.

The busy Burton Green road reopened earlier in October after a seven-month closure for the road to be realigned.

But HS2 said it needs to shut on Saturday (October 24) for repairs.

"We will be carrying out an emergency repair to a damaged drainage chamber in the road," a notice said.

The closure will be from 8am until 4pm on Saturday.

The previous works began in April and extended until Sunday 11 October, having been due to finish at the end of August.
