HS2 has been given the green light for a new bridge in Stoneleigh which will eventually cross the new railway line.
Carrying a new road across the rail link, designs for the 24-metre structure were signed off by Warwick District Council at the end of 2023.
The HS2 line will pass along the north easterly edge of Stoneleigh Park, with the new bridge set to connect Avenue A and 5th Street within the business park.
The bridge will span the new nine-metre deep Stonehouse Cutting which will eventually cut through the existing link between the main area of Stoneleigh Park and its north-eastern entrance.
The top of the bridge deck will be positioned around half a metre above the current ground level.
The HS2 track will then be laid in the new cutting below.
The bridge will be wide enough for the six metre wide road and a footpath on either side for pedestrians.
Designs for a 750-metre cutting just outside Kenilworth have also recently been signed off by district planners.
The High Speed Rail Act 2017 decreed both developments would happen at some point, but approval for certain design and construction matters was still needed from the local authority.
