HS2 confirms A46 lane closures for August

HS2 has announced more disruption for the A46 this August.

The high speed rail developer has confirmed lane closures will be extended on the dual carriageway's southbound carriageway from 7am on Saturday 8 August to 6am on Sunday 9 August near Stoneleigh.

From 8pm on Saturday 8 August until 6am on Sunday 9 August the southbound slip road onto the A46 at the Stoneleigh junction will also be closed.

And between 8pm on Sunday 9 August and 6am Monday 10 August 2026, a lane closure will be in place on the northbound carriageway near Stoneleigh also.

"We will complete the topsoil replacement on the embankment and surfacing on the A46," HS2 said.
