HS2 has announced another six weeks of closures on Cromwell Lane.

The Burton Green road will be shut between Red Lane and Hodgetts Lane in three phases between Tuesday 14 June and Saturday 20 August.

The high speed rail developer said the closures were to allow gas and sewer diversion works.

And whilst the road will be closed on weekends for most of the period, there will be no workforce on site on Saturdays and Sundays.

The road will be closed on the following dates:

  • Phase one: Will be an off-peak closure from 9.30am to 3pm from Tuesday 14 June to Friday 17 June.
  • Phase two: Will be a full closure 24 hours a day seven days a week from Monday 20 June to Friday 1 July.
  • Phase three: Will be a full closure 24 hours a day seven days a week from Monday 25 July to Saturday 20 August.

Working hours will be 8.00am to 6.00pm on weekdays.

A fully signposted diversion will be in place throughout the closures and access to all properties will be maintained.

The workforce may be on site one hour before and one hour after to set up and secure equipment.

The road has already seen two months of phased closures to demolish a substation.
