Gym to open in former Kenilworth Carpets showroom this weekend

A new gym and martial arts academy is set to be opened by the Mayor of Kenilworth this Saturday (April 1), at a former carpet showroom.

Cllr Sam Louden-Cooke will be on hand to cut the ribbon outside CrossFit Time Keeper & Turbo Martial Arts Academy at the former Kenilworth Carpets showroom on Farmer Ward Road.

The day will feature a range of classes and events, starting off with a Crossfit workout at 10am which can be booked through the Team Up app.

Cllr Cooke will then officially open the gym at 11am before one of the coaches - Tom - leads a bodyweight work out.

At 11.30am there will be food and drinks for guests while a range of challenges take place including: most calories on an air bike in a minute, longest bar hang and longest hand stand hold on a wall.

And at midday there will be a chance to meet all the coaches to find out more about group classes and personal training sessions.

Coach Steve will be bringing his England football caps earnt playing for the England visually impaired squad internationally and other memorabilia from competing internationally in Judo for Great Britain.
