Kenilworth Carpet's showroom at Farmer Ward Road has closed, and the company has been wound up.

A notice in the window of the former shop at Bridge Works says: "The landlord of the units 3, 4, 5 and 11 Bridge Works has today forfeited the lease and business tenancy to Kenilworth Carpets Ltd."

The statement, dated the start of December, adds: "Any person attempting to re-enter this property by force or without the landlords' approval will be guilty of criminal damage."

And a notice on the Gazette from December stated the company was going into liquidation.

It resolved: "That the company be wound-up voluntarily.

"That Matthew Douglas Hardy, licensed Insolvency Practitioner, Office Holder Number 9160, of Poppleton & Appleby, The Silverworks, 67 - 71 Northwood Street, Birmingham, West Midlands, B3 1TX be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up."

The company's website has also been disabled.

The Bridge Works units were recently marketing by property agent Bromwich Hardy.

Kenilworth Nub News has attempted to contact Kenilworth Carpets for comment.

A planning application to build a new car showroom at the Bridge Works has recently been approved by Warwick District Council.
