Route details and timings have been confirmed as the annual cyclo-cross race returns to Kenilworth Common on Boxing Day (December 26) 2024.

Organised by Coventry Road Club, the 2024 edition marks a major milestone as it is the 70th instalment of the race.

Multiple events will be held throughout the day, with younger age groups taking to the course before the main race.

The event - as usual - will see one lane of Common Lane closed during the day for the day as the cyclist take to the tarmac for that short section of the route.

As in previous years, riders are expected start at the centre of the lower common, before heading out onto the roads and up Common Lane.

They will then be challenged to navigate the tricky descents through the woods and through the mud.

The traditional festive event is the oldest cyclo-cross race in the UK.

The event will start at 11am for under 10's, followed by under 12's at 11.15am.

The main event will then get underway from 12noon and will last an hour.

And organisers are also on the hunt for more volunteers to help mark out the course.
