Riders headed to Kenilworth Common on Boxing Day (December 26) for the annual cyclo-cross race.

Organised by the Coventry Road Club, this year's was the 69th instalment of the race.

The event saw one lane of Common Lane closed during the day for the oldest cyclo-cross race in the UK.

As in previous years, riders started at the centre of the lower common, before heading out onto the roads and up Common Lane.

They were then challenged to navigate the tricky descents through the woods and through the mud.

The event saw a shorter course for the under 10's and under 12's, with the main event lasting an hour and starting at 12noon.

Despite the return of the duck race to Abbey Fields, there was still a large crowd cheering the riders on at the common.
