Warwickshire Police is highlighting some of the work it has been doing to tackle child exploitation in the county.

Operation Makesafe is the force's initiative to check hotels in the county to look out for the signs of child exploitation.

On Wednesday evening, officers from the trafficking and exploitation Team and volunteers from the Warwickshire Police Cadets carried out spot checks at hotels across the county.

An officer and a cadet tried to book hotel rooms while displaying some obvious signs of exploitation.

Here, Detective Sergeant Dan Lydster from the Trafficking and Exploitation Team explains more.
