Improved bin collections are coming to properties with communal waste bins, Warwick District Council has confirmed.

Buildings such as flats and HMOs will soon be getting weekly food waste collections as well as the existing recycling and rubbish collections.

The change will come in from April 1.

The council website said: "All communal properties will be provided with one or more communal food waste bins (either a brown 140L wheelie bin or a smaller 23L caddy) which will be emptied weekly.

"The bins are to be kept in bin store areas, or somewhere appropriately close by, and is the responsibility of the managing agent or landlord to keep clean."

Residents living in flats will be able to request a food caddy.
