A flood alert is still in place in South Warwickshire following sustained heavy rain.

The Environment Agency updated its warning for the River Avon around Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon last night (November 24) at 6pm.

It said: "River levels are rising at the Bidford river gauge as a result of Storm Bert.

"Flooding continues.

"We expect flooding to affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to the River Avon between Rugby and Bidford including Warwick, Stratford upon Avon, caravan parks and farmland."

The warning at Gog Brook has been removed.

The alerts for the River Leam and River Itchen remain in place.
