The first homes in a development that will see 425 new houses built in Westwood Heath are nearing completion.

Developer Crest Nicholson is in the first phase of its Westwood Heath housing estate which will see 77 private homes built on the Westwood Heath Road site.

The Surrey-based developer was first given approval for the scheme in 2018, despite objections from locals.

As well as new houses the development will see a new convenience store and two access roads built.

Whilst the first houses are still under construction, the Westwood Park homes were put up for sale in November last year.

The developer confirmed to Nub News this week that only 17 of the plots have been sold so far.

Further phases will come bringing the 425 homes in total.

The company said the site will have a mix of two, three, four and five bedroom homes which are "perfect for a range of purchasers, from first timers to growing families, looking for a modern home".

When the site was launched Vanessa MacNee, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson Midlands, said: "Residents will enjoy a fantastic quality of life, with the development just stone's throw away from a great range of excellent restaurants, bars and pubs in Coventry and Kenilworth, as well as plenty of open green space.

"We have a number of schemes available at Westwood Park to help buyers secure their dream home, including the Government-backed Help-to-Buy: Equity Loan and Deposit Unlock schemes."

Prices at Westwood Park start from £283,500 for a two bedroom home, £357,500 for a three bedroom and £515,000 for a four bedroom.
