Emergency services were called to a crash on Red Lane at 10.30pm last night (February 2) where a car was found on its side in the middle of the road.

The injured driver was assisted from the vehicle by passers-by before crews from Kenilworth Fire Station arrived.

A winch was needed to right the vehicle and a leak from the fuel cap was plugged.

Crews gave trauma care to the driver before West Midlands Ambulance Service arrived.

A fire service spokesperson added: "We closed the road at this incident using cones, accident signs and flashing beacons, however one driver decided to move our cones and drive right up to the incident.

"We put road closures in place for the safety of emergency workers who are working to resolve the incident.

"This driver was dealt with by Warwickshire Police, as he put our crews and other persons involved in this incident in danger by his careless actions."
