A group of local DJs will once again takeover a Kenilworth pub to raise money for a local charity.

Earlier this year, DJ Matt Despilia decided to take his successful radio show and podcast, The House Party, on the road to a live audience and gathered other DJs and guests from his show to join him on the journey.

The tour started at the Ale Rooms at Smalley Place in June with an all-day party and will return there on December 9 to conclude the run of events.

From the very beginning Matt said the tour would focus on raising funds for worthwhile causes and so the House Party Radio Show Live Tour 2022 began.

Not only were revellers treated to some of the best turntable talent around, but they were provided the opportunity to enjoy the music on a 10KW sound system donated by a local audio-visual design firm.

On top of that, the whole day in June was broadcast live by online radio station, JustHouseMusic where Matt Despilia hosts his flagship House Party show.

The day raised hundreds for the South Warwickshire Home-Start charity to help them support local families with young children.

A charity spokesperson said: "It is fundraising events like these that mean we can carry on supporting families through tough times in South Warwickshire."

Since then, the House Party events have toured the Midlands to host live events at The Lion in Shirley, The Charles Bradlaugh in Northampton and revisited Kenilworth Ale Rooms before the penultimate 2022 tour date at new club, Social-Beats in Stourbridge.

All of the gigs have been broadcast live to the world on JustHouseMusic radio and through the generosity of those attending have raised almost £2,000 and counting.

The organisations benefiting from the drive include Prostate Cancer UK, HomeStart South Warwickshire and mental health charity, Men's Sheds.

The finale of the 2022 tour will see a return to the Kenilworth Ale Rooms, now dubbed the unofficial House Party HQ, for the 'Winter Gathering' on December 9.

This last event of the year will play host to local favourites, DJ Ross Moran and DJ Vy plus fellow JustHouseMusic radio presenter, MIX5TA and the inspiration himself, DJ Matt Despilia who says: "I cannot believe how popular these parties have become; they could not happen without the dedication of the DJ's, sound crew and staff but the real stars are the people we welcome to each party. I love that house music brings us together and I think we have developed a welcoming space to dance and party.

"Christmas is a special family time so being away from loved ones is very hard, particularly for children so the final House Party event on December 9 will raise funds for SWFT Charity, more specifically the Warwick Hospital MacGregor Children's ward."

Matt added: "I have witnessed first-hand the incredible work the MacGregor ward does for young people so it felt only right to support them at this special time of year."

Tickets can be purchased online here.

And although this is the last event in the 2022 tour, Matt insists: "The House Party Live Tour will return for 2023 with some major events already in the planning stages."
