Covid-19 infection rates in Kenilworth remain below national average as they continue to fall

Covid-19 infection rates in Kenilworth remain bellow the national average as they continue to fall.

Nearly 325,000 vaccinations have also been administered in Warwick district, including 93,331 booster jabs.

Meanwhile there have been a further two deaths due to Coronavirus in the district in the past week, bring the total in the area up to 310.

The national average infection rate currently sits at 412.2 cases per 100,000 in the seven days before March 5.

Locally, Kenilworth West has the lowest infection rate at 374.6 - almost half as many as the 655.5 per 100,000 in the week preceding February 14.

In the same time period the infection rate in Kenilworth South has fallen from 520.3 to 393.8 per 100,000 people.

And in Kenilworth East it has gone from 488.0 to 412.9.

Currently there are 23 people in South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust hospitals with Covid-19, one of whom is on a ventilator bed.
