Two cold stores could be built outside a Kenilworth restaurant.

A planning application has been submitted for the former Turkish Kitchen on Warwick Road.

The application to Warwick District Council asks for permission for the two units in the rear garden of the eatery.

Plans state the two units would be "insulated prefabricated cold storage units with metal external finish to match existing property".

While not objecting to the application, Kenilworth Town Council asked for officers to ensure the plans do not compromise any parking rules.

Town councillors also asked to check for "any potential impact on the residents within the linked flats".

Having opened this spring, Turkish Kitchen closed suddenly in July.

The company posted on Facebook to say: "Sorry Kenilworth but due to some unfortunate family news we are closed.

"We have loved serving each and everyone of you."

Work is currently underway on site remodelling the unit.
