A closed pub in a South Warwickshire village is expected to fetch around £650,000 at public auction tomorrow (January 22).

The Butchers Arms in Priors Hardwick is due to go under the hammer with property agent Sydney Phillips.

The "honey hued" inn is said to have "huge scope" for development.

Held in the pub itself, the auction will begin at 1pm.

Sydney Phillips described the venue as a "mellow stone village pub and restaurant" with four "quality, character filled trading areas".

There is a patio and "cottage style" rear garden as well as an outbuilding with "huge scope to develop".

The Butchers Arms sits on a two acre site.
