Bird flu has been identified ay Ryton Pools Country Park, the local beauty spot has confirmed.
The park remains open to visitors, but new guidelines have been issued.
"We want to let visitors know that bird flu has been identified at Ryton Pools Country Park, and we're asking you take a few simple precautions to protect both wildlife and other park users," a post on the park's social media pages said.
"Ryton Pools Country Park is home to a wonderful variety of birds, and by working together and following guidance, we can help reduce the risk of bird flu spreading."
Visitors have been asked to stay on the paths, keep dogs on leads and not to touch dead birds or feathers.
"If you keep poultry or other birds at home, please wash your hands and clean/disinfect footwear after your visit," the statement added.
"If you do spot any dead birds in the park, please report them via the DEFRA service online (see comments for the link), or by calling 03459 33 55 77.
"Thank you for helping look after our precious wildlife and for continuing to enjoy the park responsibly."
Bird flu was reported in the swans on the River Avon in Stratford-upon-Avon at the end of last year.
