A housing developer currently building 99 homes in Kenilworth is set to host a 'Behind the Build' event this weekend.

Miller Homes is inviting locals and potential house buyers to Southcrest Rise on Saturday (August 5) and Sunday to have a look at the new estate.

Organisers said: "We are hosting a 'Behind the Build' event at Southcrest Rise in Kenilworth, where you'll have the chance to take a site tour to see our homes being built and get a picture of how this exclusive development will look once it is finished.

"Book your appointment to join us on Saturday 5 or Sunday 6 August, from 10.30am until 5.30pm.

"Site tours will be conducted in small groups depending on demand and is strictly by appointment only. Please call us for more information."

The 'Oxford' style show home at the Glasshouse Lane estate was opened in May.

Complete with a double garage, two en-suite bedrooms and an impressive kitchen with a central island, the show home shows off the high quality of homes on offer at the new development.

As work on the first 25 homes at Southcrest Rise continues, the first residents are expected to move in during August.

The whole site - which sits next to the new Kenilworth School - is expected to be complete in 2025.

And as part of the development, Miller Homes will be contributing more than £2 million to the local area.

The money will be spent on education, transport and sporting facilities, with more than £980,000 to go towards early years, primary and secondary education and £176,721 set to go towards creating a new community centre.
