A county lines drug dealer is behind bars after his crimes were rumbled when he led officers on a pursuit and was caught throwing drugs from a car window.
The game was up for Reo Seivwright, of Balsall Common, who had been running the drugs line in Dudley, when a joint operation between the County Lines Taskforce and Road Traffic officers on 4 February attempted to bring his car to a stop.
Following the vehicle onto Rubery Lane, Seivwright's car began accelerating at speed to get away.
Hitting speeds of 70mph in a 30mph residential area, overtaking other vehicles and forcing cars to move out of the way, Seivwright continued his efforts to flee.
After losing sight of the car the traffic team, a short time later, spotted it and arrested him, finding a blade in his waistband.
Following the arrest an investigation ensued with officers locating a phone, crack cocaine, and heroin at the roadside of New Street.
On closer inspection of the phone messages were discovered detailing meets and timings for drug users to contact him dating back to 21 August 2025.
Some of the messages stated, "Fresh week and I'm on till 7.30 maybe 8pm," while another urged those with the number to not miss out, "Don't forget and don't miss out I'm on till 7.30pm".
Seivwright, aged 28, appeared at Birmingham Crown Court on 12 March, after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, possession with intent to supply heroin, being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, dangerous driving, and possession of a blade in a public place.
He was jailed for six years and disqualified from driving for six years and 9 months.
Detective Sergeant Leighton Shingles, from our County Lines Taskforce, said: "This was a significant drugs operation run by Seivwright throughout Dudley in supplying Class A drugs to people in our communities.
"Thanks to the joint operation with our traffic team we were able to arrest Seivwright and stop him in his tracks.
"I hope this sentence shows others who think they can be involved in the supply of drugs in Dudley and our towns and cities across the West Midlands area, that you will be investigated and put behind bars for your crimes."
