"Treat your tastebuds" at a new all-you-can-eat global buffet which has officially opened at Warwick Arts Centre.

Panda Mami hosted its launch event on Monday 28 April, after a soft opening on the University of Warwick campus in February.

The new eatery - which is the latest in the growing chain - comes after months of work turning the former coffee shop into a stylish new restaurant.

"We have a great range of Asian, Oriental style dishes available," Yan Yong of Panda Mami told Nub News.

"Each week we will also have some change for the dishes so there is always something different.

"And each season we'll completely change the menu. So that means each semester for university students the dishes will be different.

"Of course we will keep the most popular dishes.

"So far everything has gone very well."

As well as a wide range of vegetarian dishes, Panda Mami also offers traditional soups, fish, seafood and a wide range of mains from different cuisines.

The launch event last month featured a lion dance, music, food and of course a ribbon cutting.

"Lots of customers joined us, it was really good fun," Yong added.

Panda Mami has also tried to keep the restaurant as affordable as possible, with all-you-can-eat lunch available for £12.99 and dinner and weekend meals available for £18.99.

The restaurant is also set to launch a takeaway offer where customers can fill a box at the buffet to take their meal away.

"The reason we opened here is because in Warwick they have a lot of students in the university and a lot of international students from China, Vietnam, Korea and Japan," Yong continued.

"There aren't too many convenient places for students to eat here, Warwick University campus is like a village.

"There aren't many places here for the students and staff to get a quick, healthy meal.

"So we thought this is a good opportunity to help the students to find some place to eat and somewhere to eat healthily."

Panda Mami opened its first restaurant in Chester in 2016, and now has sites in York, Nottingham and Manchester, with Wakefield soon to follow.

And while the new site at the University of Warwick will be attractive to students, it also hopes to appeal to theatre goers heading to Warwick Arts Centre.

"It's a special place for the weekend," Yong continued.

"People who are coming for the theatre or cinema and to events, we also provide a place for them.

"They can drink and eat with us and we hope to attract more customers coming to this building.

"This art centre should be a place for the public and we want to give more reason for people to come."
