Supermarket giant Aldi has doubled down on finding a location for a new store in Kenilworth.

The discount retailer has released its annual list of desired locations, asking members of the public to suggest where new supermarkets should be built.

The list of 124 locations includes a number of sites in the West Midlands and Warwickshire, including Kenilworth, Warwick and Coventry.

Jonathan Neale, managing director of national real estate at Aldi UK, said: "We know how important it is for people to have access to affordable, high-quality food close to where they live, which is why we're focused on identifying the communities that would benefit most from a new Aldi store.

"Opening new stores in these areas means we can bring great value to more customers, while also creating jobs and offering industry-leading pay."

The news comes as Aldi prepares to open its new shop on Kenilworth Road in Balsall Common in September.
