One of the lime trees in Abbey Fields has been felled as Storm Eunice continues to cause damage across the county.

The tree was brought down yesterday as the Met Office escalated the local weather warning to amber.

Gusts of up to 80mph were recorded across Warwickshire.

As well as the tree in Abbey Fields, another was brought down across Windy Arbour yesterday, blocking the road completely.

A Kenilworth and Warwick SNT spokesperson said: "SNT are currently attending a tree down in Windy Arbour in Kenilworth.

"Road is blocked at the junction of Brooke Road and Windy Arbour."

However tree surgeons from Tree Wise Men were on hand to clear the road and reopen it to traffic.

As the wet weather continues over the weekend, West Midlands Railway is continuing to advice passengers not to travel.
