Abandoned car removed for Kenilworth road after nearly three months

An abandoned car has been moved from a busy Kenilworth road after it sat unmoved for nearly three months.
Cllr Richard Dickson said he spent at least four weeks trying to get various local services to move the forgotten vehicle from Brookside Avenue.
Aside from a flat front tyre, the car was said to be in "good condition".
Cllr Dickson said the car had been sitting there for weeks before residents contacted him to ask for help in removing it.
The car was causing some issues for motorists as Brookside Avenue becomes a "rat run" at busy points in the day.
Warwickshire Police, Warwick District Council and Warwickshire County Council were all contacted as the Liberal Democrat councillor went "all around the houses" in his efforts to have it towed away.
"It generally doesn't happen around here, thank goodness," Cllr Dickson told Nub News.
"It was just really odd that somebody had just abandoned the vehicle. Whether it was stolen from another area and left there, I don't know.
"It was just the tyre that needed replacing and it was a perfectly usable vehicle."
He added: "It was really frustrating.
"We don't have this as a problem here and we don't want it as a problem here, cars just being abandoned."
