The Bull's Head in Earlswood is celebrating a "hugely successful couple of months" - with thirsty drinkers drowning over 24,000 pints at the pub since it reopened just ten weeks ago.

After being given a new lease of life by owner Thwaites, The Bull's Head welcomed back locals in April with a brand-new outdoor space – The Barn at The Bull's Head – which includes an outside bar, table tennis and interactive games, a prominent fireplace and cosy seating.

Inside, the property saw a "glamorous" new bar installed, "making it the ideal place for a quick pint or a bottle of wine between friends".

The reopening has been warmly welcomed by the local community, with the pub pulling 24,221 pints in ten weeks – a 22 per cent increase on the same period last year - pouring 6,151 glasses of wine, and serving 962 cocktails to thirsty pub-goers.

A quench for rosé seems to be strong in the village, with Pinot Grigio Blush and Provence Rosé being the best-selling wines by the glass.

Catering to those that prefer to leave the cooking to the professionals, the pub created a large private dining space and completely enhanced the restaurant area with new interiors throughout.

Using fresh, local ingredients, the inn's new menu has proven a success with diners, with 11,904 foodies fine tuning the art of dining out at The Bull's Head within the first two and a half months of its relaunch – 29 per cent more than in the same period last year.

The taste for British classics is still prominent, with 927 of its best-selling Thwaites beer-battered fish and chips being served in that time. Fan favourites have also included the buttermilk chicken burger and the crisp Caesar salad.

Lucy Burrows, general manager at The Bull's Head, said: "The reception we've received since reopening has completely exceeded expectations. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and seeing them enjoy the refurbishment means the world to us.

"The results speak for themselves - and how busy we've been is a clear signal of the team's hard work. We've a lot of events planned over the next few months, so we look forward to welcoming new and regular faces."

Kicking off its big summer line-up, The Bull's Head is set to host regular events including a mid-week quiz night, chess tournaments and live music.
